All stallions are housed under 24 hr camera surveillance

Each stallion is housed in there own individual paddocks. IEBC policy is that all stallions be locked up each night for insurance reasons. Each paddock has its own modern lock up stable with day yard attached.

Arrival Times for all horses:

  • Monday to Friday - 8:00am - 2:00pm
  • Saturday - 9:30am - 1:00pm
  • Sunday- Closed
  • IEBC MUST be notified at least 24hrs prior to all horses arriving.

Departure

  • IEBC Must be notified at least 48 hrs prior to horses departing
  • All monies outstanding must be paid in full prior to any horses departing IEBC

BREEDING:

CHILLED SEMEN:
IEBC provides the opportunity to receive semen from all stallions to your farm. Each collection is evaluated under microscope. Chilled semen involves the following charges:

Please notify IEBC when mares first start being looked at for the breeding season

  • Collections days are: Monday to Friday
  • Weekend collections are available by request - mare owner to arrange freight
  • NO COLLECTIONS DONE AFTER 12 NOON - courier departs 4pm daily.
  • SAME DAY DELIVERY : Contact IEBC before 10am the day before shipment is needed
  • OVERNIGHT DELIVERY : Contact IEBC by 9am on day of collection

It is the mare owner's responsibility to ensure that the semen transport container is returned to IEBC as soon as possible. The chilled semen containers can be mailed back to IEBC using Australia Post.

***No semen will be transported between the 20/12/2009 and 4/01/2010
due to the festive season public holidays & transport courier holidays***

CHILLED SEMEN FEES:

Cost includes - collection, preparation of semen, freight from IEBC to required destination.

TRANSPORTED SEMEN:
IEBC is equipped to receive semen transported from other stallions/stations for breeding your mare on site.
COSTS INCLUDE : Follicle Testing, Mare Prep, Teasing, Insemination, Chorolon, Preg Scans.

1st Cycle : $220 + gst
Cycle thereafter : $220 + gst

WALK-ON MARES:
Brought to the farm by the owner/preferred transport company, walk-in services, returned home after serving.
COSTS INCLUDE : Mare Prep, Teasing, Insemination/Service, OPTIONAL - Chorolon.

Chute Fee : $120 + gst

LIVE COVER services are available with some of the stallions we stand. Please be sure to check the individual stallions information prior to booking.

All mares to be covered naturally to one of our residing stallions will be teased by our teaser before being covered, this is for the well being of the stallion and the safety of the handlers.
PLEASE NOTE: if the teaser can’t mount the mare due to bad behaviour eg kicking etc, the MARE WILL NOT BE LIVE COVERED BY THE CHOSEN STALLION ON THAT DAY. Mare Owners have the option of a live insemination at this point OR Mare Owners are more than welcome to leave the mare with us to have it vetted or teased the following day (Agistment will apply).

All mares to be naturally bred to stallions will be placed in a crush and have a tail wrap put on or the tops of their tails clipped, washed down then dried for hygiene purposes then taken to the serving barn and have a set of breeding boots put on.

All mares must return a clean swab & have had follicle size determined viable by a qualified vet prior to being bred naturally.

 

VETERINARIAN:
Bell Veterinary Surgery is available for those procedures that allow us to better service your mares reproductive needs. Any major cases will go to Oakey after conformation from owner.
